MiniJam Is World's First Personal Digital Audio Player For The Palm OS

SAN DIEGO, CA June 20, 2000-SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ: SNDK), announced today that its flash memory MultiMediaCard will be bundled for sale along with Innogear's new MiniJamTM personal digital audio player, a new device designed for use with the Handspring™ Visor™ personal organizer. The announcement was made today at MP3.com's MP3 Summit in San Diego, CA. SanDisk is currently demonstrating its products at the MP3 Summit in Booth #45.

With the Handspring Springboard™ Expansion Slot, an easy to attach hardware device for the Handspring Visor™ personal organizer, users can expand their Visor to make it a music player, wireless modem or even a global positioning system. Innogear's MiniJam is not only an MP3 player for the Visor, but also functions as an e-Book reader, a flashing LED alarm and an image and slide show viewer. MiniJam's large storage capacity--up to 64 megabytes (MB)--also allows for the storage of Palm OS™ Applications and database and image files.

"Innogear's innovative MiniJam is a breakthrough product for the popular Visor computer and SanDisk is proud to be a part of the product's introduction," said Nelson Chan, senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. "In creating MiniJam, Innogear has not only created a device that gives users the full capabilities of an MP3 player with CD-quality sound, but it also provides them with the capability to view images and slide shows, store large image libraries, read news and will support spoken word applications. By using SanDisk's memory cards, users can enhance the performance and capabilities of their Visor and new MiniJam personal digital audio player."

Bob Fullerton, president and chief product officer, Innogear, Inc. said, "The small-size, high-capacity, reliability and ruggedness of SanDisk's MultiMediaCard, has made it the de facto memory card standard for MP3 players as more than 75 MP3 players use the MultiMediaCard. Using MP3 compression technology, more than an hour of music can be stored on a SanDisk 64MB MultiMediaCard."

MiniJam, the first MP3 player for the Palm OS, is a plug-and-play hardware device for Handspring's Visor Springboard Expansion System. In addition to enhancing Handspring's Visor with an MP3 player, MiniJam provides users with a full multimedia experience through pre-loaded software, which includes a photo/slide show viewer and e-Book reader. As soon as users install the MiniJam, they will see a launch window on the Visor display that will give them the ability to either, view photos/slide show, read an e-Book or listen to music. Innogear's MiniJam is available in Ice and Graphite colors and will be sold with either a 32MB or 64MB SanDisk MultiMediaCard configuration.

SanDisk's rugged solid-state MultiMediaCards, the size of a postage stamp, are available in 16, 32 and 64MB capacities. Using MP3 compression, each card can store about a minute of music per megabyte.
